090708 Retrospective: Bicycle Station (2007)
Imagine an empty plot of land surrounded by constant kinetics; gradually loosen up, sunken in, dented and shelters built around its gradient. Imagine it then cladded with thousands of timber panels, and light-weight concrete strips spiral and twirl above them as if they were silk. Imagine you walking towards the sunken valley not seeing anything from afar till you are really close. Subsequently imagine fine strips of gaps carved all over the valley, locking systems installed. Alas, imagine these gaps filled with bicycles, fulfilling what intends to be; a bicycle station.
